Late Report for March

Skidding in for a late report of my March efforts...

I've finished the last two of the spare stitcheries I had after making my Tis The Season quilt a few years ago.

So I have 5 in all now... but what to make? I think some little wall-hangings... I might even stitch one more, then I could make 2 different hangings, each featuring 3 designs.

My plan for April stitching is... yet to be decided... but I have plenty of ideas!

Getting Back Into Christmas Makings

After getting snowed under & distracted by so many things in the last year or so, I've finally put 1xiam back on the priority list!

My first report here in a very long time is to share these cuties.

I really don't remember why I traced off some extra designs when I made my 'Tis The Season' wall quilt a few years ago - maybe I had fabric I just wanted to use up? - but when I rediscovered them recently, I decided they should just be stitched & made up.

There are two more designs after these ones, then I'll decide what to do with them.

It's been fun to re-visit these designs & their cheerful characters!

I've had this sweet Santa button winking at me from the shelf... received from Maria in a Christmas swap last year... it's now a fun ornament for my tree!

My fabrics are Lynette Anderson 'Christmas Fun', & as you can hopefully make out, the quilting is very simple.

This little book is so good... it features 13 stitchery designs, & contains a few really fun & easy projects to use them. I can tell I'll be stitching from it again in future.

Stitcheries All Done!

I'm so pleased to share this pic... I've finished all the stitcheries for my Tis The Season wall hanging, woo hoo! The fabrics for the blocks are all chosen, & very soon I'll be able to start work on getting those blocks sewn... progress on this project has happened a little quicker than I estimated, so I am actually thinking it will probably be on the wall for Christmas this year!

One of these designs is going on the back, as part of the label.

I'm loving all the great posts here lately, I must go for a better look at all the gorgeous items♥

Oops, I am late again with my my post for the month... I have stitched my 6th block for Tis The Season... these are such lovely blocks to stitch...

This one's called 'Christmas Joy'.

I think I might even try for two stitcheries for July!

Progress On 'Tis The Season'...

Today I am happy to share the third & fourth stitcheries for my 'Tis The Season'... I surprised myself to have stitched two designs this month... I was clearly just loving to sit & stitch these cheery little characters...

 I'm so pleased to see this blog thriving, there's so many great items being made & so much inspiration...

Cute Little Angel...

Isn't she a darling little thing?!

I stitched her a few weeks ago, at the hospital when mrHS was having his day surgery... she's the second of the stitcheries for my 'Tis The Season' hanging...

I think this weekend might be the perfect time to start on the next stitchery for this project... footy on telly, cooler evenings, end of a busy week... sounds good to me!

A Good Start...

Wow, there are so many great items being posted here by everyone... what a great source of inspiration! I spent an evening last week stitching the first of the stitcheries for my 'Tis The Season'; I can tell I am really going to enjoy stitching these as the year progresses...

My Project For The Year...

For my '1 Xmas Item A Month' during this year, I am going to be working on this gorgeous wall quilt from The Birdhouse...

Thank you Narelle for allowing me to be part of this blog, and giving us the option of working on a larger project during the year... I'm certainly going to love sharing my progress with this one... I've been wanting to make it for a while now...

So my 'item' for January was to prepare my stitching fabric and trace up all the designs... they are now in a pile ready to stitch throughout the year.
