Merry Christmas

Dear fellow Elves, thank you for sharing with our group your beautiful and clever creations throughout this year. May your makes be treasured by your loved ones and your Christmas Day be filled with love and laughter.

Sadly this drought gripping our country has robbed me of sewing, crafting and blogging time but I will still be here in 2020 to open the door to our workshop and welcome you in for fun and creativity.

I made a couple of ornaments but forgot to take a photo of the other before I sent it. Not to worry though as they are both the same. :).

Home Made of a Different Kind

My daughter and SIL made this little bundle of joy ... he arrived on the 7th November weighting 7lb8oz or 3140g and 51cm at 7.49pm.

Flynn Robert

So I haven't had time for sewing while visiting, cuddling and playing with his big brother who is almost 3.  I do however hope to have a make or 2 to share in December.

Catching up

I have not managed to keep up with something each month but this month I worked on all three of these ornaments so that I could finish them off and put the box away!

I did do less stitching than recommended on the pattern - me getting impatient!!

Now it's not that long till Christmas.... scary stuff... it seems we just had the last one!

Keep on going with the Christmas stuff... it's always motivating ...xx

September decorations

I realised today was the 25th & I'd not made anything for Christmas. A quick search in my prepped pattern basket & I found some ornies that would be quick to make. The kit came with 3 ornies

Plus a wreath
The ornies can also be hung in the wreath

My ribbons are a little long, the pattern didn't say how long they should be cut.

Happy stitching,

Getting in a littler early as I'll be visiting DD next week.  Just to switch things up a little, I decided to work on the remaining 3 Santas together, doing a little to each one, each month.  So for September they have their fronts stitched together.

Sew happy for small achievements each month ... Merry Christmas Stitching

Back With A July Finish

Well nearly finished.  I'm jumping in before Monday begins another week of busy busy and I miss posting.  My apologies for being absent through June but life has been hectic with one thing and another. Some of it not great, but a lot of lovely quality time spent with family before and during the school holidays and a little trip away.

So I'm back to my Santa Cutlery Keepers and if I can stay on track I will have six of these little fellows by end of November. Just to prove I'm not sharing a pic of the same Santa each time, here is my first one with his new friend. (Still needs a little more sparkle)

I've also been doing some thinking re next year. I'm happy to keep 1 Xmas Item A Month and our quiet little workshop door open for anyone to pop in and out when time permits. It's lovely seeing the beautiful creations that each of you kindly share with fellow Elves.  I've already decided that I'm going to be working on my "A Merry Christmas Garden" which I started waaayyy back in January 2014. Time to bring this beauty to at least a finished top by end of 2020.  Progress so far is ...

Merry Christmas Creating xx

Finally a Finish

Finally got a finish after being away for a couple of months travelling.
Its a lovely pattern called Let it Snow Pennyrug by Sew Unique Creations and is made all in wool felt.

May Makes

At the start of May I got busy and cut out the cutlery panel, placing each Santa into a packet ready to grab and go ... then things went pair shaped and the Santas are still in their packets.

So today I got busy once again and whipped up 4 more Christmas Tree decorations.

Grandson J has already claimed 2 of my earlier decorations for his tree ... love him to bits xx

Keep sharing your makes or progress dear Elves ... we're nearly halfway there ... oh my!
