Knitting Time
Here I am sneaking in with a couple of small finishes and an absentee note for being a bad elf. Family health has kept me on the hop but hoping now we are on the road to recovery.
So here are my table centre/hot pad and a dishcloths.
This is a new to me microfiber wool so I'm hoping it will be suitable.
While I play hooky from time to time, Anthea has been kind enough to lend a hand in our workshop so you may see her here and there, passing around the hot chocolate and marshmallows. Thank you Anthea

I snuck in at the end of this month with this little wall hanging... it was a UFO so all I had to do was the binding...

Another Snowman Mug Rug
I finished another mug rug using the "Snowman" digital stamp from The Paper Shelter. (I am happy to say the one I made last month washed beautifully. The black ink from the inkjet printer did not wash out of the fabric the stamp was printed on.)
Now to decide what to create for March... Thank you for the workshop, Narelle.

Snowman Mug Rug
This month, I finished this mug rug that I hoped to finish last year. The "Snowman" is a digital stamp from The Paper Shelter.
I read that the black ink in most inkjet printers is permanent (though the color ink may not be, depending on the printer.) So, I printed this digital stamp onto a sheet of fabric, colored it with crayons and heat set the color following the guidelines found in a couple of tutorials on-line. Snowflakes and the words were hand embroidered.
I plan to wash this one before adding it to the gift box, just to make sure the printer ink is colorfast. I hope so, as a similar mug rug is planned for next month. I will let you know then.
