September Project

This month's project does not look much like Christmas, but it is going to become a sweater for my husband. It will not be a surprise because I have to measure and such but I am sure he does not mind. I am using this pattern, the yarn is Lion Brand Heartland in Yosemite.

September's Xmas Stitching

I have finished another block from each of the two longer term projects I am working on -
This one is from Rag-Tag Stitchin' "Merry Mistletoe" - 4 blocks finished now.

And the other one I'm working on is a FignBerry design "Angel's Wings" - 4 blocks of this one finished also.  Cheryl

Green for Go September

Nothing like a looming 25th of the month to make me get the sewing machine out.  These 2 hand towels ...

are joining the red set which have been finished off with buttons and button holes thanks to Mum's button stash ... I'm still looking but I did manage to find two pink buttons for these.

While in town shopping yesterday I noticed lots and lots of Halloween happening in the shops, and here and there a sprinkling of Christmas peaking out from the shelves ... getting close.

A ShawL

Actually it's really worn as a scarf & I love this pattern so much... I knitted up another one.
This is now in the Xmas bag ready for December.
Thanks Narelle...for all the encouragement each month.

Had to post it

I know I have already posted for September, but I set to and finished the quilt
I am standing on the garden bench for this picture.

To say I'm pleased with it would be an understatement,I am thrilled.

I love it,many thanks to Narelle or hosting ,I don't think I would have made this quilt without the monthly inspiration.
Have to see what I'm going to make next month, something very small I think.

Bit early but here's my September bit of quilt.Finished the applique now.
I also stitched the stars on but forgot to take a picture.
I have the batting and backing ready to assemble.
I've bought Polycotton for the back so I don't know how I will get on with it.

I liked it,nice and cheerful,I've washed it twice to take the stiffness away, will see how it goes.
See you in October with hopefully a finished quilt.x
